An AI mock interview is a spoken practice interview run by an AI interviewer — it asks role-relevant questions, listens to your answers in real time, and follows up the way a person would. Here is what that looks like on RoundZero, and what the report can honestly tell you.
What an AI mock interview is
Instead of reading questions off a list, you speak with an AI interviewer in a live voice conversation. The interview is tailored to your resume and the role you are preparing for, so the questions are about your work, not generic prompts.
There is no typing and no multiple choice. You answer out loud, in real time, the way you would in the room.
Why practice with an AI interviewer
It is available whenever you are ready to practice, and it applies the same scoring rubric every session — so when your scores move, it is because you changed, not because the interviewer did.
It is also a low-stakes place to be rough at first. You can stumble, rethink an answer, and run another session without using up a friend’s patience or a real interviewer’s goodwill.
How the scoring works
Each answer is scored across seven dimensions — content, structure, communication, behavioral signals, role fit, consistency with your resume, and applied execution on a live, role-relevant exercise — and compared with strong candidates in similar roles.
Every score is tied to something you actually said, so you can check the evidence yourself. The verdict adjusts its tone to your score, but the substance never softens.
What an AI mock interview will not do
It will not guarantee an offer, predict a specific company’s decision, or coach you toward scripted answers. It shows you how you come across and where the gaps are — turning that into progress is what the practice is for.
Privacy and your data
Your data is stored in India under the DPDP, and you can export or delete everything from one page. Raw video frames are processed in-session and discarded by default.
